I miss that too from KDE 3.5, but for the moment I still use my Lenny with it, so it's ok ! I hope future version of gnome can do that. I think wallpapoz can do that to !

i tried wallpapoz once, but it messed something up... i forget what..
yes, that was just for information anyway wallpapoz won't do what KDE3.5 do ! (nothing can nowadays, it's a pity !)
My laptop at work has 4Gb and it works ok !
