I would like to start with an observation regarding the upper left part of the photo. It definitely works well and goes perfectly with the lower part of the left side, or the low, left quarter if you will, because the combination of the lines, the parallelism and the symmetrical quality create the feeling of order; serenity and organization of the image depicted.
Yet, the right half is an obvious conceptual contrast to the left part in the sense that it alludes to and suggests instability; chaos, disorder and conveys a feeling of unease, something horrible lurking which is a brilliant clash of the two realities.

Since it strives to convey the notions of loss and sorrow following the horrible tragedy in Japan, I believe that this picture renders exactly that: the urge to bring order into disorder, to restore peace and organization.

Personally, I am disgusted by the flood of cheap contributions to deviant art, but at the same time it makes me happy, because the influx of all sorts of creations carries along something remarkable as this, and I praise your vision and your work.

However, I suggest you increase the contrast in terms of shades of grey (no pun intended), to create a stronger and more powerful feel to it.

nice pic here! technically speaking theres a lot of good stuff going on here. the first thing i notice is the excellently strong lines, both vertical and horizontal. nice when you can employ the different lines in an image. the detail is really nice and the image has come out pretty sharp.

the next obvious thing worth mentioning here is the use of black and white. i myself am a fan of bw images, when you take color out of the equation the composition, subject, and tone become so very important.

i'm not sure if i am using this phrase right, but theres some negative space in the upper left of the image. if there had been some clouds, or birds to fill that space i think it would have topped off an already great shot. that would be the only thing that stands out to me as something to improve this nice shot.

beautiful composition, love the lines (including clouds) all meet in the right place, very harmonic.
